A Favorite Guat Moment

This happened a while ago, in Guatemala actually, but I never wrote about it and feel like I should. While we were at the lake with the World Race Gap Year squad and the AIM base, we stayed at an incredible retreat center that over looked the lake. This is what our view was from the dining area and kitchen :

On the property there was a fire pit where random selections of people would gather most nights to make s'mores and build a fire bigger than the one that had been built the night before. One of my very favorite moments during the whole three months took place at this fire pit. I was sitting by the fire with a few of my teammates when Javier and Darla came and sat with us. Javi brought his guitar and Darla brought her angelic voice. You would not believe the beautiful, heavenly noises that were coming from the duo. When I say heavenly, I mean it. They had created, in that moment, a sweet time of worship that gave me a glimpse into what eternity will be like. I was then asked to join in singing with the two and my heart leapt. What an honor to join in song with these two incredible musicians. I was in Guatemala, sitting around a campfire at the lake, with my favorite people in the world, worshiping a mighty king. A truly perfect moment.
